Rosie saw things no child should ever have to see. During a difficult period while her parents were separating, she witnessed domestic abuse from her father. It left her carrying guilt, confusing memories that kept resurfacing, and worries far bigger than any 11-year-old should have to hold.
Her family had been through a lot, and finding our free wellbeing and counselling service brought huge relief. It gave Rosie a safe space to talk, make sense of what happened, and understand she didn’t have to deal with it alone.
Counselling has helped Rosie process her trauma and rebuild her confidence. She’s no longer withdrawn or “moody”; she’s getting out more, looking forward to things again, and that heavy cloud that once followed her is finally lifting.
Now, Rosie wants her story to help other young people get the support they need. At just 11, she’s incredibly brave and genuinely inspiring.
