What is the deal with the Yamaha Tenere 700? I don't get this bike.

In 2023 I purchased a new 2022 Yamaha Tenere 700 with hopes and dreams of this bike being the ultimate adventure motorcycle. Unfortunately, I found this bike to be anything but the ultimate adventure bike. Comparing this motorcycle to many other middleweight adventure motorcycles I found it was lacking in many areas. It really got me to thinking that maybe I just don't understand this bike. This is your opportunity as a Tenere 700 apologist, owner and lover of this bike to let me know where I got it wrong.

In comparing this bike to the likes of the KTM 890 Adventure, KTM 690 Enduro R, Aprilia Tuareg 660, Honda Transalp 750XL, BMW F800GS, F850GS, F900GS and even the Triumph Tiger 900XC, left searching for a way to understand who the Tenere 700 is for.

Can you explain it to me?
