This is the first video of a four-part series produced by the University of the Philippines Office of Student Development Services (OSDS) on Basic Filipino Sign Language (FSL). This episode focuses on greetings.
The series is produced by the OSDS to introduce FSL as one of the communication options for the deaf and hard-of-hearing students who are also part of the UP community. The OSDS also hopes that the series will spark interest among UP students to learn more about FSL.
The series was also produced in celebration of the Deaf Awareness Week, which is held annually every November 10-16, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 829 issued on November 8, 1991.
