Tales of Lamaas (Jatak Kathas) encapsulates inspiring stories from the Buddhist tradition.
The show inculcates righteousness with its very high moral message from the Buddhist tradition. The Jatak Kathas are native to Indian culture which tells about the previous births of Gautama Buddha in both human and animal form.
All the tales explore the previous lives of Buddha prior to his enlightenment. There are 550 anecdotes and stories which depict his earlier incarnations. The Jatakas are an important part of Buddhist art and literature.
The show is an attempt to educate the people from across the globe to know about the rich culture of the Indian and Buddhist traditions.
बौद्ध धर्म के गुरू अपने अनुयायियों को धर्म और नीति का उपदेश देने के लिए भगवान बुद्ध के पूर्व जन्म की कुछ कहानियां सुनाते हैं। इनके ज़रिये लोगों का मनोरंजन तो होता ही है, साथ ही उन्हें अच्छी शिक्षा भी मिलती है। इन्हें जातक कथाओं की संज्ञा दी गई है। इन कथाओं से मिलने वाली सीख आज के संदर्भ में भी सटीक बैठती हैं। आचार्य भिक्षुओं को बताते हैं कि मठ के भीतर का वातावरण बाहरी संसार से अलग होता है। उन्होंने कहा कि बौद्ध धर्म के कड़े अनुशासन और धर्म की शिक्षा ग्रहण करते करते आप अपने लक्ष्य हासिल करेंगे। भागवान बुद्ध कहते हैं कि कभी जमा करने की प्रवृति न रखें।
