Tensions have escalated in Kayunga District after police fired tear gas and harassed peaceful NUP supporters who had gathered along the roads to cheer for H.E. Bobi Wine. The crowds—mostly youth, mothers, boda riders, and local residents—were simply celebrating and welcoming the People’s President when security forces launched an unprovoked attack to break up the gathering.
Despite the chaos, supporters remained courageous, waving flags and chanting in unity. Their determination reflects the widespread desire for change, justice, and freedom—a message that intimidation cannot suppress.
Kayunga has once again proven that the power belongs to the people, and no amount of violence will stop their voice.
