In episode 117 of Whisky in SV, Ralf and I did a comparison and review of Deanston 12 Year and the Deanston 18 Year. Deanston is an enthusiast-friendly Scotch whisky brand which puts out very solid affordable juice. For Ralf, the 12 is a great palate warmer to start a night, but the 18, despite costing almost double, is worth the upgrade if you want a more interesting dram to spend more time with. I would not necessarily recommend these as an introduction to Scotch if you come from the Bourbon world, but they are definitely worth having on your bar if you know you are partial to traditional Scotch flavors. #whiskyinsv #bourboninsv • Deanston 12 and 18 Comparison and Review #...
