The Bantock’s Piano Music Project is a free and independent initiative undertaken by the Italian pianist Ennio Caironi, dedicated to the complete recording of the piano works of the English composer Sir Granville Bantock (1868–1946).

Bantock’s piano music spans the full arc of his creative life, though the majority of it was composed after the First World War, during an already mature phase of his artistic career. This repertoire – amounting to over four hours of music – is both extensive and rarely performed; many of these works have never before been recorded and are presented here for the first time to an international audience.

The aim of Bantock’s Piano Music Project is to make this rare and otherwise inaccessible body of work available to scholars and music enthusiasts alike, not only to do justice to the genius of the English composer, but also to enable full appreciation of his creative and aesthetic gifts – thereby helping to bridge a significant gap in our understanding of early twentieth-century British piano music.
