Today we'll talk about what your preschooler needs to know before they get to kindergarten. It depends on where they go to school because all of them are different, but we'll look at a general list. Knowing their name and how to write their first name is a good skill for a preschooler to have before they move on. It's important to be able to recognize letters, both capitals, and lower-case letters. The sounds of letters is great too. Counting from 1 to 20 is a super good goal too. It's easy to practice numbers and counting by counting toys, asking questions about how many pieces are in a box. We'll also learn a way to practice social skills with stories.
