Lusaka Residents Welcome Online Passport Application System

Some Lusaka residents have applauded the government’s recent announcement to launch an online passport application system, saying the move will simplify the process and reduce congestion at passport offices.
Speaking to ZNBC News, resident Cosmas Mualugwe noted that the digital platform will not only enhance service delivery but also help eliminate middlemen who often exploit applicants during the process.
Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security Principal Public Relations Officer Mwala Kalaluka stated that the new system is designed to offer a more customer-centric experience. He explained that applicants will be able to initiate the passport process at their own convenience, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving efficiency and transparency in public service delivery.
Mr. Kalaluka added that officers have already been dispatched across all ten provinces to sensitize the public on how to use the new platform effectively.
