Yan Earl-Ruzhytskyi on the Third Committee of the 80 General Assembly

“No form of social development, youth engagement, or education can truly advance without real peace.” These words by Yan Earl-Ruzhytskyi, Ukraine’s Youth Delegate to the UN, were delivered during the session of the Third Committee of the 80th UN General Assembly.

In his speech, Yan shared his own experience of studying during a full-scale war — damage to the dormitory caused by falling debris from a russian drone, nights spent in shelters, and days without electricity.

He also reminded the world about thousands of Ukrainian children illegally abducted by russia and told the story of the youngest Crimean political prisoner — a symbol of the resilience of Ukrainian youth.
