Bishop Nwobi embarks on condolence visit to the family of Late Msgr Nwalo

One in heart and mind as Bishop Simeon Nwobi leads large Diocesan entourage to condole with the biological family of oldest Ahiara priest, Late Rt Rev. Monsignor Theophilus Akujuobi Nwalo, on Monday, 20 October 2025. His Lordship was full of encomiums for the bastion of faith and priestly model who hailed from Olakwo Enyiogugu Mbaise Imo State.

The diocesan team comprised all the places Msgr had worked, joined by representatives from the entire deaneries, Presbyterium, religious and laity, including the Diocesan Pastoral Council. Though mourning, the delegation said they were edified by the exemplary life of Msgr Nwalo. They prayed for his happy repose as they presented condolence gifts to the family.

The family could not hold back their sincere appreciation for the love shown to their brother in life and in death. Bishop Nwobi thanked the family for the gift of Msgr Nwalo and imparted his fatherly blessing on them.

Msgr Theo Nwalo died at the age of 87 and will be buried on Tuesday, 28 October 2025. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
