These great garratt locos were the main motive power on the 2' gauge Alfred County Railway, from Port Shepstone to Izotsha in Natal Province. With a number of trains a day it was a great opportunity to go back in time to a fully steam operated railway carrying all kinds of goods and passengers through the heart of Zululand.
