In Goa, we make different types of curries to have along with rice. This curry is made from eggs which are cracked and dropped in the spicy curry which is made up of grated coconut, coriander seeds, dry red chilies, turmeric powder and cumin seeds. Addition of tamarind adds tanginess to the curry. The Goan Egg Drop Curry is easy to cook and takes just 20 Minutes. You can serve the Goan Egg Drop Curry along with steamed rice or have this with Goan Sannam or Bread.
Ingredients
8 Whole Eggs
2 Onion , finely chopped
1 Tomato, chopped
½ cup Tamarind water
3 Green chillies, slit
Salt , to taste
For the gravy
1 Fresh coconut , grated
1 tablespoon Coriander Seeds
½ cumin seeds
4-5 Dry Red Chillies
1tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi)
Water , as needed
Grind it till fine paste
For best results strain the gravy using strainer before cooking and then add it for cooking. Follow the steps as shown in the video to prepare the curry.
