Uncovering all the secrets of this village’s plague story, we spend time visiting the cottages where the plague began, the parish chruch with some poignant memorials, family grave sites and the all important boundary stone.
But the modern day village of Eyam is the perfect example of how life bounces back from tragedy and is a vibrant, rural village buzzing with festivities. We find a local tea room for lunch, explore some of the villages carnival entries and discover some of the villages other history and tradition.
