How 2025 Changed Brisbane - and Changed This Channel Too

2025 has been a huge year for Greater Brisbane. From population growth and housing pressure, to transport changes, major infrastructure decisions, extreme weather events and preparations for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, there’s been a lot to keep up with.

In this video, I’m taking a step back from the weekly updates to recap some of the biggest stories, trends and turning points across Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay and the Redlands over the past year. We’ll look at what changed, what didn’t, and what those changes have meant for everyday life across the region.

I’ll also share how THE Brisbane Channel itself has evolved over 2025, including the move to doing this full-time, new segments introduced this year, and what’s coming up in 2026.
