Gran Turismo (PS1) - Normal Car Cup with TRD 3000GT

The Normal Car Cup is a tournament in Gran Turismo 1 where you can only use stock cars without any tuning. It is one of the hardest tournaments to win in the game (if not the hardest) because one of the AI opponents is using the Honda/Acura NSX Type S Zero, which is one of the best stock cars in the game. In this video I am challenging it with the rare Toyota TRD 3000GT that I won for getting all the A license gold medals. Another one of the AI opponents in this event also uses the TRD and he always loses against the superior NSX but maybe with me as the driver a TRD can now finally win here. :)

There are two possible prize cars for this event: Subaru Impreza and Toyota Supra. Both are special versions in colors that can not be found at the dealer.

If you have trouble with winning this event, then you can just use the NSX Type S Zero yourself. This is how I first beat it myself and the existing track records that you can see were also done with that. The cars from TVR and the Dodge Viper (both versions) are said to be good for this event as well.
