Creté 2021

Hi Guys!

This is my new travelvlog about our trip to Creté, Greece last week. It was the first time, since covid, that we were able to travel again, so we wanted to do something special. You never know how long your freedom of travel lasts during this pandemic :D

Instead of doing a 08/15 All Inclusive Vacation (which we also had at the Iberostar), we rented a car and discovered the island. I got myself a DJI Mavic Mini during Prime Day before this trip, so I had to do some shots! I hope you like it as much as I do :)
& I can give you some advice what you have to see during your stay on Creté! :)

We got our car through Expedia and rented with Green Motion Cars. We normally had a small car (like an VW Up) but got an Upgrade on the Golf.
If you want to visit Preveli or Balos (we didn't do Balos via Car) you have to be careful! The Streets are very curvy and high into the Mountains, without any barriers on the side. We we're glad we survived after we took the wrong street to Preveli. Luckily we found another one back! If you want to go, definately choose the parking spot on the West Side. We took the One on the East and it wasn't funny at all...

If you want to go to Balos via Car, you have to check your rental agreement as some Rental Car Provider don't allow "off-road use" and you could get a fine if you take the road to Balos, which is "off-road". Thats why we took the ferry, but next time we would definately book a Jeep or smth. similar and take it. It was veery crowdy, as you can see in the video.

Rethymno was a 30 Minute Drive for us from the Hotel and it was beautiful. Definately a great spot for shopping and some sightseeing (the entry for Fortezza was 4€ per Person).
