Silver's Zombies Ate My Neighbors by Silver.exe.
I think this is the longest hack I've TASed yet in terms of how many levels there are. I need to get a consistent naming scheme for these videos lmao.
Anyway, this hack was a mixed bag. On one hand some of the palettes and custom tilesets are awesome, level 19 is one of my favorites personally. I also appreciate that somehow, the sodas and the flamethrower are buffed so that you can one shot chainsaw maniacs and frankensteins, and even red ants die to one soda. The RNG also allowed me to get a ton of shoes, drastically speeding up what would otherwise be a very long game.
On the other hand, there's WAY too many vampires, more than there were in any other hack I've ever played, and that includes the Skyhurricane hacks. They also often come in groups of 5 to 7 on one level and level 40 has 8. Enemies that you can't exactly kill quickly even though I tried. On top of that, some of the levels were a bit long winded like 36, and kinda just dragged out. And to top it off, level 18 has a bug that causes me to have to play level 22 like it's a bonus level before I can proceed to level 19, meaning level 22 gets to be played twice here. I don't bother going for 22b in the first go around since I'll play it later, but I will tell you that it works like normal, you'll go to 22b, and then back to level 19. Some levels were evil, like level 14c where the neighbors are ALL transforming tourists. Level 31b is perhaps my least favorite in the whole game, a level that actually made me resort to the crossless cross glitch. By pressing a button on every frame (done by using turbo here hence the rapid item switching at first) while holding down the attack button, you have the invincibility effect of the cross while not using ammo which becomes very important in a level spawning a ton of bat projectiles everywhere while trying to kill vampires. I eventually remembered that with Reverse Item Cycling, I could set the L button to have a turbo button, and use that so you don't get your ears assaulted by the item switch sound. And of course, the trampoline girls get weirdly bugged out a lot here where you can't grab them, and it's frustrating to deal with. This is why some levels take longer just to grab one trampoline girl.
Overall, interesting hack, worth playing.
