I always found Gemini's dialogue before this fight to be quite strange given how P has seen way worse things between the cathedral and here than what this boss is and it's not the first time he would have encountered a carcass monster infesting a puppet and it always felt strange to me that he mentions the cathedral with how that area having been quite a while ago by this point in the game.
Maybe it's just me but that piece of dialogue to me felt almost like a left over from an earlier version of the game in which you'd encounter this boss way earlier than you do in the final game.
