Cot Valley,St Just,Cornwall

From the center of St.Just one can walk (or drive)down to Cot Valley which is quite beautiful and enhanced with very colouful flowers, and a beautiful river stream running down to the sea . It appears to be very ancient as the many rocks along the sea are worn and very smooth and almost appear like large eggs . The larger forms are quite beautiful,and and are the solidified remnants of very old lava flows . They are quite lyrical abstract forms -kind of inspiring. In the spring the flowers are adorning the vegetation and soon the heather will be covering the cliffs. The two islands further out from the shore can be easily seen and it would be interesting to explore them although it might be too risky. Further along the coast is Cape Cornwall and the lighthouse which is also very dramatic,beautiful and iconic. So it's a good walk but there are also some mine shafts along the coast. Additioinally there is space for parking. At the end of the video I have returned to St.Ives where a very good musician, Tim, is singing a song about New Orleans(where I used to live.) and as I get older I think about those times which are a part of my younger life. Actually the video starts with two young St.Ives seagull chicks and after that is Cot Valley,St.Just.
