WTO (and GATT) Explained

Why did countries decide to make the WTO and what is their goal? What is the WTO and how is it different from GATT? This short video will share a brief history of this international organization, a comparison between WTO and GATT, and the ongoing problems that torment WTO. As of 2022, there are 164 countries that are part of the WTO. The organization also deals with around 98% of global trade. The WTO is one of the few supranational organizations that exist and guarantee fair trade between member states.
