Hello, My name is Dnes ST. Panch Pokhari, meaning "Five Lakes," is a stunning and sacred high-altitude wetland system located in Nepal's Sindhupalchowk District, resting at an elevation of approximately 4,100 meters (13,450 feet) near the base of the mighty Jugal Himal. Recognized as a significant pilgrimage destination for both Hindu and Buddhist devotees, the site experiences a major influx of visitors, particularly during the annual Janai Purnima festival. The area is accessed via a moderately challenging and less-traveled trekking route, typically lasting 5 to 10 days, which rewards hikers with unparalleled, panoramic views of the central Himalayan peaks, along with a rich cultural experience among the Tamang and Sherpa communities. This pristine natural sanctuary is celebrated for its deep religious importance and tranquil, unspoiled Himalayan beauty.
