This is a brief illustration of my first impression with the DigitalFoto Thanos Pro 2 with BlackMagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K (+ raven eye and lidar module). Includes unboxing, balancing, and field test on an actual shoot for a documentary.
The Thanos Pro 2 is extremely easy to balance even if you've never used a steadicam before. The major selling points are:
Low cost (40 times cheaper than Arri Trinity);
You can shoot for longer time compared to simply holding a gimbal (reduces back pain);
Stabilization along the vertical axis.
