This Preserving America profile features the Princeton Battlefield Society, an organization dedicated to educating the public about the Battle of Princeton and the “ten crucial days” that saved our country’s quest for independence. The encounter took place on January 3, 1777, and was one of the most consequential battles of the American Revolution. It came at a time when America’s fortunes had reached an all-time low, when colonists’ hopes of securing their liberty from England were slowly fading away. Tom Hand, creator and publisher of Americana Corner, and Bill Marsch and Paul Kelley from the Princeton Battlefield Society discuss a worthwhile place to visit and why it still matters today.
The Preserving America Grant Program series profiles recipients that are telling the incredible story of our country from its founding era through its first century as a nation. View the profiles on our website at https://www.americanacorner.com/prese....
