To save your sanity, you must get clear about what you can control and what you cannot control. We can only control ourselves. Confronting our codependency can help us get clear about what we can control and what we cannot control.

Coparenting with a narcissist is practically impossible but there are things we can do and consider as a result of having to divorce and then co-parent with a narcissist. The narcissistic spouse will use children as pawns and that can be one of the most difficult things to have to do in life.

✅ Know the laws of your state.
✅ Get clear and factual about what your legal rights are.
✅ Focus on your own emotions and try not to allow triggers to overwhelm you.
✅ Don't react to a narcissist.
✅ If you feel threatened file a police report. Documentation is crucial when dealing with a narcissistic ex.
✅ Working on letting go of engaging with a narcissist.
✅ Acknowledge how your children feel about any arguing or events that take place in front of them.
✅ Do not speak badly about the narcissist in front of the children.
