VIFM on ABC News | Study finds cases of CTE in domestic violence victims
Excerpt from ABC News (8 July 2024) - "Two women in Australia have been diagnosed with CTE after suffering decades of domestic violence. CTE is a progressive brain disease that has been found mostly in athletes and military veterans who have typically suffered hundreds or thousands of concussions and sub-concussive hits."
Dr Linda Iles is a Forensic Pathologist at the VIFM, and a leading Forensic Neuropathology specialist. After training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, she completed her Diploma in Medical Jurisprudence (pathology) at the Society of Apothecaries in London.
