A little view into the creation of Amber Waters, a new egg tempera painting at Arcadia Contemporary for my solo exhibition in NYC -- This is not a tutorial, and it's not meant to be...it's just a taste of the world that surrounds this painting, and paintings like it that I've done, and a glimpse inside the studio. I've always felt that something gets lost in photos of paintings, even with hi-res images - and even the simplest video can give you a better sense of the tactile qualities of a painting. It is after all, a physical object, hand made with skill and care, and ultimately meant to be appreciated in person.
