Florida Mom Left Toddler in Hot Car to Go to the Movies: Police

Florida officers rescued a two-year-old girl trapped in a sweltering car for about 30 minutes while her mother, Tipora Merriex, allegedly went to see a movie. Police described Merriex as nonchalant and inconsistent in her explanations, sparking frustration among first responders who ultimately arrested her for child neglect. The child was stabilized at a hospital, while Merriex pleaded not guilty and awaits trial. Law&Crime’s Elizabeth Millner shows us the bodycam footage.
