notes: I removed the wipers, plastic cowl thing pops off. I also removed the metal shield under the cowl. you don't need to remove the wiper motor, it can stay attached to the frame assembly that you are removing, just unplug it. I need to replace the struts and it also gives much more room to work with on the idler pulley.
I removed only the tensioner pulley, however when you raise the engine you'll have enough clearance to remove the entire tensioner pulley and bracket together. you won't be able to remove the tensioner assembly without raising the engine. I opted to change only the pulley because it saves me about $200. tensioner pulley was $15.10 on Amazon (Gates 36513)
idler pulley was $28 off Amazon (Gates 36472). the whole process can take you 1 hour if you follow the tips.
