I used to play a lot of RPG maker games in 2010-2012. Among them, Off was one of my favorites. So when the remake was announced, I was really excited.

The combat is a big improvement. Though it's still just a classic turn-based combat in the end. I'm not a fan of turn based combat, I find it to be really boring in most games. Will this video even be entertaining for you to watch? I don't know.

The new bosses, the zodiacs are kind of interesting. These fights are the hardest in the game, and most of them have some unique gimmick. Not sure how they're relevant to the plot, though. Guess it's just a bit of extra content.

The new music is a mixed bag. I really love some new themes, like the new Dedan's theme (the current version without the Bonetrousle leitmotif). Some tracks are whatever, and some are just a complete swing and a miss. The new final boss theme is just so boring compared to the original Avatar Beat. (But after some time I grew to like it more)

Overall, I enjoyed the remake, even if it has a completely different vibe from the original.
