The Roads and Airport Department operates and maintains more than 600 miles of roads in unincorporated Santa Clara County along with eight expressways that serve as vital commuter corridors in Silicon Valley.
The Roads team performs emergency and scheduled maintenance on County roads, from clearing culverts and removing downed trees to resurfacing roadways. The team also manages capital projects to replace aging infrastructure, such as building new bridges.
