Seaham Harbour Marina provides 96 pontoon berths, with a lock gate keeping water levels stable, accommodating boats, and hosting activities like kayaking and paddleboarding.
The Waterside features local shops, cafes, and The Castleside has fitness centres.
It is also home to the East Durham Heritage and Lifeboat Centre, which showcase local maritime history.
The Coxswain statue stands on the quayside. Honouring the sacrifices made by the staff and crew of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
It was created by Ray Lonsdale, who also created the nearby Then Gone AKA George and Eleven-O-One AKA Tommy.
