In this video, legal expert Adv Kunal Seth will discuss a landmark judgement of the Hon’ble Delhi High Court passed in 2024 in Amit Jain vs. Sanjeev Kumar Singh & Anr (Crl.A. 1248/2019).

The Honourable Delhi High Court observed that Section 138 and 139 of the Negotiable Instruments Act is attracted in matters of friendly cash loan given without any documentation where the accused admits to giving a cheque to the complainant and is unable to give a satisfactory reason for the absence of a legally enforceable debt against which the cheque was given.
