Overview
Utilise dice to defeat a stream of enemies and survive the night. Travel through the locations

The interface was clear, with helpful hints when buttons were tapped. When dice are selected, the available options are highlighted. There is a tutorial option, which is comprehensive.

The game is simple. Roll the dice, and apply them to damage enemies or use skills. The challenge comes from not knowing what creatures will come up next in the row, and marshalling your resources to be able to deal with any threat. There are several warriors to choose from, which gives flexibility and variety to the games.

With this being a digital game, it's very easy to just start another game if you get trashed on a run through, and with a lack of set-up, it's easy to pick up and play on and off as you feel the whim. This makes it very replayable, although after several play-throughs, you do start to see the same monsters over again.

I'm a fan of the analogue version so I was keen to play the digital adaptation to see how they compared. I wasn't disappointed. The digital captures the essence and suspense of the analogue version, without the hassle of setup/tear down, and benefits from being accessible to play at any time. On the first day, I played 4 games in my lunch break (I didn't say I did particularly well…)
