On Seijin no Hi, the Coming-of-Age Day of Japan, a mikoshi emerged into the winter streets of Arakawa-ku.
Carried by the members of Wakagomakai, the shrine moved in the Edo-mae style—advancing forward while swaying like ocean waves, just as it does at Susano Jinja, where Susanoo-no-Mikoto is honored as the ujigami.

This day is more than a celebration.
It is a moment when tradition speaks directly to the new generation, reminding them that they do not walk alone.
Through the movement of the mikoshi, the town entrusts its history, strength, and hopes to the future.

Arakawa stands ready to face new challenges—
supported by its youth, guided by its kami, and grounded in traditions that have never broken.

若駒會の担ぎ手によって、江戸前の担ぎ方で進み、波のように左右へと揺れる神輿。
それは、素盞雄神社の本社神輿にも受け継がれる、祈りのかたちです。

成人の日は、ただ大人になる日ではありません。
この町の歴史と想いを、新しい世代へと託す日です。
