The unlikely hero, Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) has found himself in the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who demands the ultimate commitment to the job... to die, for a living.

Mickey actually finds himself once again staring death in the face after a life-threatening fall. But in a world where his life is expendable, Mickey’s survival brings about more questions than answers. With a flamethrower still in working condition and a colleague to share the journey, Mickey contemplates the grim truth of a life spent dying.
