Fishrot accused Otneel Shuudifonya testified for bail on 11 November 2021. Shuudifonya, who is employed as a deputy director by the Otjozondjupa Regional Council, is among 10 individuals accused in the Fishrot corruption scandal.
More than N$10,3 million was transferred to his company from the national fishing company Fishcor. The state said he was Fishcor chief Mike Nghipunya's business partner.
Shuudifonya also testified that he loaned co-accused James Hatuikulipi N$2 million in different instalments to help stage the 2017 Swapo congress.
