New Moon in Scorpio: Deep Insights

The New Moon in Scorpio is extremely powerful for numerous reasons. The Scorpio New Moon will bring deep insights through the dissolution of water, releasing us from the fixity of the past and facilitating a recovering and reinstitution of life purpose that can help us develop long range plans for the year ahead.

For one, there will be a new cycle of the Moon and Mercury beginning at the same time. Mercury retrograde will be in the heart of the Sun, becoming reanimated by the creative intelligence and vitality of the Sun, at the same time as the New Moon in Scorpio on November 20. The combination of the Moon and Mercury simultaneously beginning new cycles increases the potency for inner insights and revelations as well as clarifying the recent past in ways that bring new understanding for how to navigate forward.

The New Moon and Mercury in Scorpio are also part of a Grand Water Trine with Jupiter in Cancer as well as Saturn and Neptune in Pisces that further amplifies the potential for intuitive insights and the birth of important new ideas and creative directions to develop.

Additionally, the New Moon and Mercury are opposite Uranus in Taurus, while Uranus is in harmonious relationship with Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune. This further amplifies the potential for revelations and will catalyze the deep insights forming within into propulsive, liberating action.

Also on November 20 there will be an exact sextile aspect between Uranus in Taurus with Neptune in Pisces, the first major aspect they are forming since their conjunction in 1993. This further ties the sweeping collective changes brought by the Uranus and Neptune cycle that began in 1993 into the Scorpio New Moon, and is part of how the lunation is connected to much larger astrological cycles.

In addition to the larger cycle of Uranus and Neptune, the Scorpio New Moon is also connected to larger cycles involving Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
