“This virtual course showcases a group of books and artworks used by Portuguese female religious communities between the late Middle Ages and the early modern period. More than promoting these nunneries’ heritage, with this course we intended to present these oeuvres as a testimony of the environment in which they were made and used, framing them in the history and daily lives of the communities they belonged to.
