In this video, I talk about the struggles I faced as a foreign doctor starting residency in Germany. The bureaucratic hurdles felt endless, and the language barrier made it hard to communicate with patients and colleagues. I also noticed big differences in work ethics between India and Germany. I had to unlearn the idea that overwork is a badge of honor and instead focus on self-care and balanced work hours.

Another challenge I faced was dealing with non-emergency cases in the ER, which often overwhelmed the system. But it's not all bad news! I share useful tips to help you tackle these challenges. I stress the importance of learning German, understanding the local culture, and knowing the language requirements for your medical field.

Lastly, I encourage you not to be too hard on yourself. Stay connected with friends and family back home. This journey is tough, but it's also an adventure that will teach you a lot about yourself.
