5 REASONS WE FLAT TOW A JEEP WRANGLER

For as long as Sabrina and I have been RVing we have flat towed a vehicle behind our RV. For the first 6 years that vehicle has been a Ford Cmax, but now we flat tow a 2001 Jeep Wrangler and in this video I am going to share 5 reasons of why we now tow a Wrangler
First it is a great go anywhere vehicle, so when we park our RV we can hop in the jeep and explore an area, even if that means it is off the beaten path. I really enjoy exploring offroad trails and even just simple dirt paths And its small size makes finding parking spaces or exploring a crowded city a breeze.
Speaking of it’s small size that brings us to reason number 2 it’s small size and how light weight it is makes it a breeze to tow, our RV doesn’t even know it’s back there. At 3300 lbs we are well under our RV’s tow capacity and it’s short wheelbase and overall short length makes it easy for us to fit into spaces for overnight stays like gas stations and casinos.
Number three it is very easy to connect to the RV, because it is an older Jeep, there are no fancy computer menus to go through, just turn the key to accessory, put the transfer case in neutral and the transmission in any gear, I prefer second, but it really doesn’t matter and it is ready to be flat towed. Now just hook it up to your RV like you would any other flat towable vehicle.
Number 4 it is a great all year-round type of vehicle, in the spring and summer, we can take the top off and use it as a convertible enjoy the season with its open top feel and in the winter it’s ready for any type of bad weather, the Jeep has no problem getting us out and about even in the snow to grab groceries or supplies.
Reason number 5 is probably the most selfish reason, but I have always wanted to own a Jeep Wrangler from the time I was a teenager and able to drive, I have always thought of them as cool vehicles and a few of my friends have owned them through the years and I always enjoyed driving them when they would let me borrow theirs and now with our home base being in Arizona surrounded by mountains I thought this was the perfect time to make a purchase on a Jeep. It has been just under a year of ownership, but I can say it has lived up to all of my expectations.
