Svartpilen 401 vs Ninja 400: Review & Comparison

Husqvarna's Svartpilen 401 was one of the most premium options available in the mid-capacity beginner range, but with a significant price drop has now moved into the competition with the popular Ninja 400. I grabbed one for testing thanks to MotoHUB in Castle Hill, Sydney to see what all the fuss was about recently, as the current ride-away price on these is crazy low.
So does that massive price drop on the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 mean you're getting a significantly higher specification machine and how does it compare to Kawasaki's Ninja 400, which along with Yamaha's R3 is very much a benchmark in the category?
Here's my thoughts after riding the Svartpilen 401 recently for a review, alongside the Ninja 400, which I've had for over a year now.
