Daytona Beach Calling: Hear Why!

Come with me today as I head over to do a property video walk through tour for an out of state client! On the ride over I'm going to be talking about some things that make people want to relocate to the Daytona Beach area.

First up, the weather. We on average have far more sunny days than we do rainy, although we do have a rainy season. But, all those sunny days will give you an opportunity to enjoy many of the outdoors activities that we have to offer here in Daytona Beach including fishing, boating, kayaking, motorcycle riding, walking, pickleball and more.

Fishing is huge in our area because we are so close to the jetty. You can launch at one of the many boat ramps the county has all the way from Ormond down to New Smyrna and head right on out to the open ocean. We have a fabulous artificial reef system here with the closest reef just five miles off shore. You can catch tons of different species and see marine life like dolphins, flying fish, sea turtle and maybe even some sharks!

Volusia County also has some of the best beach access in the state of Florida for residents. You can drive on our beaches and buy a residents beach pass on the cheap so you can drive up and down the beach all you want. Or if you'd prefer to park for free and walk on to the beach, you can do that at one of the many free beach parks up and down A1A. The really make is so easy for residents to access and enjoy the World's Most Famous Beach!

Here in the state of Florida, we do not pay state income tax, so that's a big factor people consider when deciding to move here. Its especially beneficial for retirees, who may need to stretch that retirement fund just a little bit further so they can enjoy some of the awesome activities I was talking about before!

For those of you who maybe don't visit often or you've never been to Daytona Beach before, you should also know that we are an event driven city, which means there's always something to do! If you're looking for a city that always has things going on without feeling like a huge metropolis like Orlando, Tamps, Jacksonville or Miami, you should definitely consider Daytona Beach. From concerts to racing events, to motorcycle rallies you can find huge events happening all year round. There are also tons of smaller events like the Seafood Festival, food truck rallies and wine and art walks to keep you busy.
