📸 Filming setup 📸
45 degree angle lighting creates softness; direct lighting creates more harshness
create depth: with lights and plants
framing: for talking-head videos: head grazes top of screen

☀️ Workflow tips ☀️
1. edit your footage the day of filming
2. color code + rename your work
3. collect a bank of graphics and sound effects
4. (bonus) learn your keyboard shortcuts!!

🌿Thumbnail tips 🌿
1. Follow a basic tutorial to get your bearing
2. Study others' thumbnails
3. Play with different versions of your thumbnail. Don't get attached to one 'way' of editing.
4. Film thumbnail in motion and videocapture a moment
5. Text on the thumbnail should supplement your title, not copy it word for word.
