Located to the southeast of Haiphong city, Đồ Sơn beach has been known as the most popular beach and a famous tourist destination of the city and Northern Vietnam since French colonial period. In the past, Do Son was a summer resort for Vietnamese upper-class people and French colonists.
This place is also famous for some historical sites: Bà Đế temple, Cave Pagoda - the first place imported Buddhism into Vietnam - and Buffalo Fighting traditional festival.
