Texas Government FINALS & EUC rides! Vlogging Everyday Until I Become A Veterinarian [DAY 13]

Hello everyone! My name is Rory, and this is my journey as I attempt to become a veterinarian.

I have loved animals my entire life and grew up with a wide variety of them, including cats, lizards, snakes, dogs, hedgehogs, and more. It’s something I’ve always wanted to pursue as a career; however, that dream never truly manifested. Instead, I became stuck in a loop of working hard and making as much money as I could. When the money was finally plentiful but there was no advancement in sight, I realized how truly empty and unaccomplished I felt.

My educational experience was always unimpressive. I was not an award winner, an overachiever, or popular. I was a “barely gonna make it” kid. I cared little about school and grades and more about hanging out with friends and doing what I wanted. Eventually, I entered an early graduation program, giving myself one last shot to graduate before dropping out. It worked! At age 16, I graduated (barely), left home, and lived in a tent for about two years while working two full-time jobs (Taco Bell and Starbucks) as I tried to earn my own living.

Fast forward to the present—I’m 25. I have many animals, a lovely and supportive girlfriend, stable housing, and much more ambition. Now I’m ready to take school seriously for the first time. What you’re tuning into is my daily life as I learn and grow as a scholar. I’m not the smartest, my writing needs work, and I’m terrified of math—but these are all things I plan to conquer as I develop myself into a more knowledgeable person and work toward achieving my dream.
