The Maryland State Library for the Blind and Print Disabled is a statewide library service that provides free, accessible reading materials to Marylanders who cannot read standard print. Through the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, LBPD offers audio and braille books, nearly one hundred magazines, music instruction, and musical scores. Patrons can receive materials by mail or download them instantly through the BARD app. LBPD also provides assistive technology training, college textbooks, events and programs, and personalized reader advisory support to help patrons find books they love in the format that works best for them.
