One of the most important elements within Shadowhunters has been the empowerment of women, each female character being played by a strong woman in their own right. The show and the cast have helped inspire girls all around the world to help lift each other up, find their voices, and stand up for what they believe in.

Along with the Trevor Project, #SaveShadowhunters is also raising money for Girl Up. This is an opportunity to channel our passion for the show into helping organizations that represent the groundbreaking work that Shadowhunters has represented.

Girl Up is the United Nations Foundation's organization dedicated to supporting the education, health, safety, and leadership of "the hardest to reach girls living in places where it's hardest to be a girl." All donations go to United Nations programs that support refugee girls in developing countries like Ethiopia and Uganda, indigenous girls in Guatemala, and other girls who want to continue their education in India, Liberia, and Malawi. They are used to fund things like opportunities to go to school, see a doctor, and stay safe from violence.
