At Piano Centre Edmonton we often get asked how similar Essex and Steinway pianos sound. So we set up a freshly tuned Essex EUP123E and a Steinway K132 and had our store manager play the exact same music on both. We recorded both with the same recorder at the same position. It's remarkable how much alike they are.
