University of Wisconsin – Madison: Driving the sprawling campus!

About the University of Wisconsin Madison:
The University of Wisconsin, Madison (also referred to as the University of Wisconsin, the UW, UW–Madison, or even just simply Madison by some) is a public land grant research university in the city of Madison, Wisconsin. The main campus is 933 acres and is located on the shore of Lake Mendota. The campus has four National Historic landmarks residing on it and is simply a beautiful area to tour.

The UW was founded when Wisconsin achieved statehood in 1848. The UW is the official state university of Wisconsin and is the flagship campus of the University of Wisconsin System which has campuses in many cities throughout the state. It was the first public university established in Wisconsin and remains the oldest and largest public university in the state.
